New York Blues Hall of Fame

Blues musicians will be inducted into New York State Blues Hall of Fame on Sunday, 11th August, from 1 pm to 6 pm at Saratoga City Tavern, 21 Caroline St. New York Blues Hall of Fame is division of a bigger network of statewide halls, all associated with national organization that is based in San Diego.

New York State Blues Hall of Fame website stated that the hall’s mission is to present and preserve, the past, present and future history of blues music, which is an unique American heritage art form, by promoting, inducting and honoring the great blues artists as well as the local blues artists.

The ceremony will be hosted by Windmill recording artist Michael Packer. Apart from well known Blues Hall of Fame members like Buddy Guy and BB King, the hall also recognizes master and great blues artists as the unsung heroes deserve some recognition too.

Those scheduled to be inducted into the Hall of Fame are the Out Of Control Band as well as its founder Rick Siciliano. The band members are Denny Dwyer, Ken Drumm, Rick Rourke, Joe Rocco, Chris Cernik, Lucas Ruedy, Joe “Box” Dragone and Tony Gambaro.

Individual music artists being honored include Joe Roy Jackson, Michael Lomaestro Jr, Phil Drum, Tony Perrino and Pete Vumbaco. Not all, who will be inducted are musicians, some of them have played important role in the music scene for a very long time.
